We’ve all been there before. We’re all used to this constant running on the treadmill of life having so many things to do, and juggling them in such a short amount of time. Some days, we feel like we  have everything under control, while some other days, the overwhelming feeling just feels a little bit too much.

So what do you do? What are some productive ways you can beat burnout, accomplish all the things in such a short amount of time? How do you become productive? If you feel like you are always struggling to do too much, and not having enough time to do everything, you really need to read this trick! 

Let’s sit down and chat  about it.


First things 1st understand that you will  never have enough time in a day, if you have big dreams and ambition but one of the best ways to use our time more efficiently is by focusing on what's most important to us.

We need to identify the important things that you need to do and make sure that you don't waste your time on things that are not as important.



  • Goal Setting
  • You need to be clear about everything that you want  to accomplish in order to zone in on what you are really trying to do. For instance, you will need to know what needs to be done for the day, its order of importance, and the deadline. But, always be mindful to set S.M.A.R.T goals. Specific, measurable, attainable, results based, and timely.

    This has been a proven system that I have tested and worked with for years to create focus and organization to my daily schedule.What does it mean to time block your schedule or work what I like to call day tight compartments ? First of all, you need to plan and strategize how much time you will dedicate on a particular task or part of a task, and then strictly commit to it. Start writing down your to-do lists as if it's an actual appointment time scheduled, organize them according to its importance, and allot how much time you will dedicate to get this thing done. While it doesn’t totally guarantee that you’ll finish everything in the specified time. This method definitely helps me in getting more focused on your tasks.

  • Minimize distractions
    Interruptions are counterproductive when you are trying to accomplish anything. There are times when you finally get the rhythm and timing of things, and you feel in the zone, but suddenly you are interrupted, this can definitely take away your focus and make you lose your flow. Hence, it’s important to tone down or eliminate any form of distractions as much as you can. Identify these distractions and try your best to eliminate them. I know this is tough especially right now with the kids home so much and I am working from home now so I get it. It's not that easy right now, but do your best and dedicate the time you need. Sometimes I put up a sign on my office door that says recording when I am doing a podcast episode of Beyond Common Business Secrets or if I am writing my new book Women who Shine. My kids are little so they still interrupt but not as much if I didn't put it up. 😂😂😂

  • Avoid procrastinating at all costs!

    This is your sworn enemy when it comes to focusing and getting your tasks done. I know it can be hard sometimes, because some of us might be working from  home. But think of it this way, if you have finished your tasks early on, you will still have enough time to do some activities that you really love. I know it can get heavy but I use this effective technique called the Pomodoro Technique, in which you set your timer for 25 minutes to do a particular task. And during that time, your main focus is just getting the job done. After allowing yourself to focus for a full 25 minutes, you reward yourself with 5 minute short breaks to check on your phone or be distracted before going into another 25 minute streak. This beats procrastination while being able to work on some of your tasks. The Pomodoro Technique was created by Italian author Francesco Cirillo and I think the first time I heard about it was years ago in a training I took with Eban Pagen

  • Limit multi-tasking.
  • Some of us believe that we are effective in our ability to multitask. However, several studies show that it is actually counterproductive, and we can’t effectively focus on more than one thing at a time. When our brain is constantly switching its focus, and trying to bounce back and forth between tasks we will become more prone to making mistakes thereby, making our progress slow and less efficient. To counter this, you need to master the art of time-blocking and learn how to stop when you go overboard and try to do multitasking.
